Team India has recently unveiled their new jersey for the ODI World Cup 2023. On Sunday, October 8, team India wore the new jersey in their opening match against Australia at Chennai, which India won by 6 wickets. The fans, cricket lovers and cricket experts liked the jersey’s design and theme. Team India will play Afghanistan next on Wednesday, October 11 and on October 14 against arch-rivals Pakistan in Ahmedabad. For the clash against Pakistan, it is rumoured that team India will wear an orange/saffron jersey.

The reason for speculation is that, team India were seen donning an orange jersey in their warm-up sessions ahead of their clash against Australia. Another reason to believe this rumour is, in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2019 which took place in England and Wales, team India wore a different jersey for the England match, which had an orange touch on the blue jersey. The social media is buzzing with this news and people are not sure but playing the guessing game.

BCCI clears the rumour

Ashish Shelar, the honorary treasurer of the BCCI, has clarified that Rohit and Co. will only wear the newly launched jersey which they played against Australia on Sunday, October 8. According to the BCCI officials, these reports are absolutely baseless and are the work of someone’s imagination. Media reports claimed that team India will wear an alternative match kit against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 14 in Ahmedabad.

BCCI releases 14000 tickets for India vs Pakistan clash on October 14  

14000 tickets were released for the most anticipated match of the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023, India’s match against Pakistan on coming Saturday, October 14 in Ahmedabad. The world’s largest cricket stadium will host the high voltage clash, when India played against Pakistan in the recently concluded Asia Cup, India hammered Pakistan and won the match convincingly, there is a likelihood of a full house at the Narendra Modi Stadium for the Saturday clash.
