The glitz and glamour of the tinsel town of the Hindi movie industry have been a silent witness to several fallouts and patch-ups between some of the biggest names associated with the industry. It will not be wrong to say that the tinsel town of the Hindi movie industry has seen much of long-lasting feuds turning into long-lasting friendships and vice versa more than the glitz and glamour that it is expected to see. From engaging in an ugly fight with Salman Khan at the birthday bash of Katrina Kaif and then again patching up with him at the Iftar party at Baba Siddique’s house to having a huge clash of ego with Sunny Deol on the shooting sets of ‘Darr’, Shah Rukh Khan had occupied a large portion of the limelight in terms of the controversy that he had been engaged in with several of his friends from the same industry. However, in a recent update, it was seen that Shah Rukh Khan had taken some time to shower his praises and appreciation for the recently released ‘Gadar Part 2’ by Sunny Deol. This led to the rekindling of chances of the revival of old friendship between the two actors. Though quite surprising it may seem to be, in a recent turn of events, Shah Rukh Khan could be seen attending the success party of ‘Gadar Part 2’ with his wife Gauri Chibber Khan. He could be seen happily posing with different members of the Deol family for photographs. More surprises came our way when we saw the three actors, Shah Rukh Khan, Sunny Deol and Aamir Khan happily sharing the same photo space with each other. This has reignited the hopes of friendship in the hearts of the millions and millions of fans of the three actors.

‘’Darr Ke Age Dosti Hai”

It is an issue that is quite well-known in the entire Hindi movie industry that in the 1993 Yash Raj Chopra movie, the two actors had a cold clash with each other while discussing the ending scene of the movie. The ending scene was so planned that in spite of Shah Rukh Khan playing the role of a villain, he was told that in the last scene, he would be successfully stabbing to death the character of the hero was being played by Sunny Deol. This led to the occurrence of some major creative differences between the two actors as a result of, which Sunny Deol stopped interacting with Shah Rukh Khan for several years since then and counting. On top of that, in spite of playing the role of a villain, the film was one of the initial films that had Shah Rukh Khan propelled to huge heights of success in terms of his career. However, this left a bitter feeling of resentment and injured self-esteem in Sunny Deol which led to the straining of the relationship between the two forever.

Recently, the just release of Sunny Deol, ‘Gadar Part 2’, took the world of the Hindi film industry by storm as it crossed every level of thrill, action, patriotism and entertainment. The film saw Sunny Deol making his comeback as the famous ‘Tara Singh’ from the original first part of ‘Gadar’ after a long 22 years. The mare news of the return of Sunny Deol in his ‘Action Paaji’ avatar was enough for millions and millions of his fans to go crazy about him and on top of that, the release of the film sort of added fuel to the fire as it seemed that the Indian lovers of movies had almost gone mad over the story of the movie. The first day box office record for the film ‘Gadar Part 2’ was huge with it crossing the 500 crores of rupees mark. It became the highest-grossing Hindi movie industry film this year. So far the movie ‘Pathaan’ by Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Siddarth Anand was the highest-grossing movie. However, such was the craze and hype regarding Sunny Deol’s comeback that ‘Gadar Part 2’ overcame Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ by almost 450 crores of rupees.  In order to keep the ‘Jawan’ spirits high in the hearts of the audiences, Shah Rukh Khan decided to hold frequent ‘Ask SRK’ sessions on his social media account of ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter) regarding various things related to his future movie and himself. In one such session of interaction, one ‘X’ user by the name of Mohammad Zishan Alam had gathered up his courage to ask Shah Rukh Khan, whether he had watched the movie ‘Gadar Part 2’ by Sunny Deol. Instead of getting triggered by remembering the bitterness they shared with each other at one point of their time in their career, Shah Rukh Khan in an extremely professional and sweet gesture replied that he had watched the movie and even fell in love with the way it had turned out to be. “Yeah loved it!!” was the reply from the side of the eternally ‘Jawan’ Khan of the Hindi movie industry. This praise has not just added another layer of love that the Sunny Deol film had received but at the same time revealed the sporting and loving nature of the ‘King Khan’ of the Hindi movie industry to let bygones be bygones and take a step towards prioritizing love and friendship over enmity.

Rekindled Hopes of Friendship

The ‘Ask SRK’ session on the social media account of ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter) has become a way for Shah Rukh Khan to connect with his fans on a personal front. The public acknowledgement of the movie ‘Gadar Part 2’ by Shah Rukh Khan has indicated a strong display of maturity and development that Shah Rukh Khan is a professional actor. He is ready to overlook any sad memory that he shared once with this fellow actor and is ready to give proper recognition to the skills of his colleagues. In spite of the fact that the movie broke records of a recently released movie by Shah Rukh Khan, the dignity that Shah Rukh Khan maintained at the time of praising his colleague has revealed his desire to let go of past problems and embrace a new beginning.

On the night of Sunday, the makers of the movie, ‘Gadar Part 2’ decided to throw a successful party at the residence of the actor Sunny Deol himself. To the utmost surprise of everyone, the first guests to grace the party were Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Chibber Khan. The couple was seen clicking photographs in smiles with several members of the Deol family, including Dharmendra Deol and Sunny Deol. In one video that was posted on the social media account of Instagram of Sunny Deol, it could be seen that the ‘King Khan’ and the ‘Action Paaji’ of the Hindi movie industry were discussing something with each other and Sunny Deol laughing occasionally. It could be derived from the sources present at the party that Shah Rukh Khan was praising the film before Sunny Deol and telling him how he and his son had really loved it. This has rekindled hopes of getting their friendship mended. Though neither Sunny Deol nor Shah Rukh Khan had made any comment on this issue till now, this gesture has spoken a lot about the open-heartedness of Shah Rukh Khan. It also signifies a desire for a fresh start for Shah Rukh Khan. If both the actors forget their past to come together once again, that would be a moment for the fans of both the superstars and a momentous incident for the Hindi movie industry.

Another surprising moment was waiting in our way when the tinsel town witnessed another miracle unfolding before its eyes. A picture uploaded on the social media account of Instagram saw Sunny Deol, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan sharing the same space in the photograph with each other. The miracle was that part, where Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan had placed their hands on the shoulders of each other while posing for the photograph in smiles. It was in one interview Aamir Khan said that he had named his pet dog ‘Shah Rukh’, to show that he would always remain above Shah Rukh Khan. This erupted into a cold war between the two actors, who never came face to face with each other until yesterday. Sources close to Aamir Khan revealed that the actor was jealous of Shah Rukh Khan for winning more awards than him and erupted into a vile outburst on his side. This has indicated a possibility of thawing the icy cold relationship between the two actors. This holds up the power that lies in forgiveness and the growth of friendships. This has not just demonstrated a wonderful attitude but at the same time has set a whole new example of the need to nurture a close environment in the Hindi movie industry that would enable everybody to cast aside their personal differences for the development of art.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for the release of his new film ‘Jawan’ which is scheduled to be released on the 7^th of September this year. The film stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi with special appearances to be made by Deepika Padukone and Thalapathy Vijay. The film also stars Ridhi Dogra, Girija Oak, Priyamani and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles.
