The Infamous Social media influencer and British Youtuber Daniel Jarvis popularly known as Jarvo, has been banned by ICC from attending matches in the upcoming World Cup 2023, after a pitch-invading incident in the Australia vs India clash in Chennai. The security handled the situation quickly and grasped the invader and escorted him outside the ground. The incident took place when the Indian player entered the field, and he tried to approach Virat Kohli wearing an Indian jersey.

Jarvo’s unauthorised entry onto the field not only disrupted the game but also posed a security risk to the players and match officials. This type of behaviour sets a bad example for other fans as well. Pitch invasion is a violation of cricket protocols and can have detrimental effects on the smooth running of the game. The ICC, as the governing body of cricket, is responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of the players. In order to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved, strict measures have been put in place to deter and penalise such behaviour.

When the security personnel escorting Jarvo out of the ground, to our surprise Virat Kohli reacted quickly by running towards Jarvo and was seen saying a few words to him. This is not the first time Jarvo has intruded a cricket match, he was also banned from English grounds during India’s tour of England in 2021, because he had intruded a test match in England at that time. The incident left ICC and BCCI embarrassed, because how can an unauthorised person enter the ground without any security check.

According to our sources, Jarvo was staying in a hotel near by the stadium, the name of the hotel is Clarion Hotel President, which is just 4 kms from the stadium, after Jarvo was escorted outside the stadium by the security personnels he left the ground for his hotel room. The next morning some police personnel visited the hotel and took Jarvo in custody.

ICC spokesperson told PTI, “It is our priority to ensure everyone’s safety and security at the World Cup 2023, the venue will be consulted to determine if any additional security measures are required to prevent this from happening again. By imposing this ban, ICC aims to send a strong message that pitch invasion will not be tolerated in future and the culprits have to follow the consequences.
