If everything goes well for Karan Johar, the KJo and the uncrowned king of controversy in the Hindi film industry, then his forthcoming film that is all set to be released this year is the film that is titled ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ that will be seeing the two most talked about superstars of the Hindi film industry, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt Kapoor. On their way to promote their forthcoming film in the capital union territory of India, the actor duo decided to pop down to the beautiful and picturesque city that has been named after the Goddess of learning and fine arts, the Goddess Saraswati, Vadodara. The actor duo were radiating charm and grace as they obliged their countless numbers of fans, who had gathered there, some even from the previous days, to take a look at their favourite Rocky Bay and Rani. Their down-to-earth nature and equal eagerness to connect to the countless numbers of fans, who had gathered there, had left an indelible mark on them as many would start chasing them to the airport after the ending of the promotional event. The actor duo told that they had a blast in there as the city embraced the stars with open arms and reciprocated the warmth and exuberance with enthusiastic cheers and adoration.

The Love Story of Rocky and Rani: A Sneak Peek into It

Recently, a post shared by a person on social media is said to have leaked the entire plot of the film, where it is shown that Rocky is a flamboyant Punjabi boy from Delhi, who is someone, who lives and dreams of living a lavish lifestyle on his father’s hard-earned money. In short, the character of ‘Rocky’, which is being played by the most stylish actor in the Hindi film industry Ranveer Singh, is a spoiled brat. On the other hand, as is the norm with every commercial love drama out there, especially in the Hindi film industry, Rani Chatterjee, which is being played by Alia Bhatt Kapoor, is a very decent Bengali girl with high moral values, quite exactly the opposite of ‘Rocky’. Their love story begins with Rani, an auditor meets Rocky after his family gets accused of a money laundering case and they both fall in love with each other in the first place. However, there has not been any confirmation from the side of the makers of the film regarding the truth and authenticity of the purportedly leaked plotline of the film.  This film would be marking the sabbatical of the uncrowned king of controversy of the Hindi film industry, Karan Johar, the KJo in Bellwood. The KJo’s last unsuccessful released film was in the year 2020 after which he only remained in the limelight for his share of controversies and not for any films.

‘Majama’ in Vadodara: Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt Kapoor Had a Blast There

No sooner have they reached the ground for promotion, were they flanked by fans, paparazzi and photographers from various sides. The photographs and videos posted by the actor and actress, paparazzi and fans on their respective social media accounts show that the actor and actress had been enjoying their stint of promotion in the city of Vadodara. The actor duo looked stunning in their gorgeous attire. While Ranveer Singh looked stylish as ever in an all-black look, once again successfully proving why he is called the most stylish actor in the Hindi film industry, Alia Bhatt Kapoor stole the show with a colour-blocked sari. Her ensemble look garnered most of the appreciation from her fans. That the ‘Rani’ of the Hindi film industry was quite excited to have been in Vadodara could be seen from her photographs that she had posted on her social media accounts that were captioned  “Majama in Vadodara, “Rocky aur Rani are all set to tell their Kahaani,” that was followed by a “(Queen emoji) moment.” The photographs reveal her in a stunning silk sari which has a beautiful pink and neon-green colour that oozed a soft vibe from her attire in the literal sense of the term.

The ‘Rani’ Gracing in a Sari

The ‘Rani’ from the film was found to be gracing the stage in a sari. She looked stunning in that. Her sari was designed with a Patti on the pallu that was green in its colour and had been designed with broad borders on the hem. The queen was draped in the six yards in a traditional style with the pleats that were being done on the front side of the sari and the pallu that was being draped on her shoulder in a floor-sweeping length. She matched the sari with a matching blouse that has a wide-plunging neckline of square-cut that accentuated her décolletage that consisted of a back cut-out, a bustier silhouette and a hem that has been cropped to give her a regal look. Adorning her were large oxidized pieces of silver earrings and high-heeled shoes to accessorize her drapes. To give herself a softer touch while promoting the film amidst the heat of the coastal city, Alia Bhatt Kapur chose to wear side-parted open wavy tresses, kohl-lined eyes, bold eyeliner, subtle eye shadow, rouged cheekbones, feathered brows, a dainty black bindi, mascara on the lashes, beaming highlighter and a glossy blush-pink lip shade.

On the other hand, Ranveer Singh sported a casual yet dapper look in an all-black outfit which accentuated his style and also created within him the image of a carefree young lad, quite similar to the character he has been playing in the film.

The Moments of Great Banter

Where there is Ranveer Singh there is banter and so much so that he has almost become inseparable from that. Wherever he goes, he makes sure to bring with him a fresh and positive vibe that would not just make the audience enjoy the event but also live the moment forever. Things did not happen differently in the city of Vadodara also. While talking about his character in the city, Ranveer Singh told the audience that the character that he was playing, Rocky Randhawa, “He is not the brightest egg in the basket”. Immediately Alia Bhatt Kapur, who has been praised and also sometimes ridiculed for her cute sense of humour, quipped in by saying “Bilkul meri tarah”, to which everybody in the audience had a great laugh. Though she might claim herself to be so, her cute nature does not make us think that she is not the brightest egg in the basket in actuality. Later, Ranveer ‘Rocky’ Singh decided to speak something good about his character by acclaiming, “But uska dil saaf hai, uska dil bahut bada hai (He has a clean and a big heart). He wears his heart on his sleeves. That’s what I love about this character, use bahut pyaar aata hai (he is very lovable). He is a mama’s boy and loves his family. He loves fiercely and I enjoyed playing ‘Rocky’. Now, when I watch the film, I feel so much love for him.”

We certainly wait with eagerness for the film to hit the screen as this time it will be the second time Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt Kapur collaborate after their first successful collaboration in the film called ‘Gully Boy’. The film will also feature an ensemble cast of other famous actors such as Ronit Roy, Shraddha Arya, and Shweta Bijlani from the world of television and famous yesteryear actors and actresses such as Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi playing important roles. Therefore, everybody sits with their hearts in their hands, eagerly waiting to celebrate the success of the film once it hits the screen.
