Referring to allegations made against Sanatan Dharma by DMK politician and Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, claimed on Thursday that the organisation can never be abolished by “parasites of power” given that it is the “eternal truth.”
According to Adityanath, not even Ravan , kansa or Mughal emperors Babar and Aurangzeb were able to carry out their “evil designs against Sanatan Dharma”.
Speaking at a cultural event for Shri Krishna Janmashtami held at Lucknow’s Police Lines, Adityanath claimed that criticising Sanatan Dharma amounted to a deliberate attempt to damage mankind. He referred to Sanatan Dharma as an energy source.
The son of Chief Minister M. K. Stalin and Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs in Tamil Nadu, Udhayanidhi, declared at a news conference on Saturday: “A few things cannot be opposed; they should be abolished. We can’t oppose dengue, mosquitoes, malaria or corona, we have to eradicate them. In the same way, we have to eradicate Sanatana (Sanatan Dharma), rather than opposing it.”
Without specifically mentioning Udayanidhi, Adityanath responded on Thursday, saying, “Today, the country is working to move in a positive direction with new energy while respecting its own heritage, (but) many people do not like that progress and prosperity…and India’s new recognition at the global platform…. The country is being recognised across the world for its achievements. (But) to weaken these achievements, they (some leaders) are pointing fingers at Bharat, Bharatiyata and Bharat’s Sanatan parampara and (trying) to insult that heritage.”
He said that these figures have “forgotten that Sanatan (dharma) could not be destroyed even by the arrogance of Ravan, by the roar of Kans, and by the atrocities of Babar and Aurangzeb. How will Sanatan (Dharma) get destroyed by those petty parasites of power? They should feel ashamed…”
Sanatan Dharma, according to Adityanath, is the religion of mankind, and blaming it as an attempt to cause hardships for humanity.
He informed the audience that adherents of the Santan Dharma provided sanctuary and defence for members of all faiths, religions, and communities during times of crisis. The Sanatan Dharma, according to Adityanath, is the religion of mankind, and blaming it is an attempt to cause hardship for humanity.
He informed the audience that adherents of the Sanatan Dharma provided sanctuary and defence for members of all faiths, religions, and communities during times of crisis. “We never said we are special. Any Sanatan swawlambi [self-reliant Sanatani] will never say we are special; or that we are everything…. If someone, out of stupidity, spits at the Sun, his spit will not reach the Sun; it will fall on his own face…” commented Adityanath.
Adityanath stated: “This is the symbol of India’s nationalism — a medium to give motivation and showing the path of welfare of humanity to the world.” He added that all Indians should be proud of their nation’s traditions and the traditions of Sanatan Dharma, which he said inspire the world to follow the path of human welfare.
According to the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, those opposed to India’s development and prosperity would make every effort to obstruct it. “In every kaal (era), attempts were made to reject the truth. Did Ravan not try to falsify the truth? Didn’t Hirnyakashyap try to insult God and Sanatan Dharma? Had Kansa not challenged divine authority? Those who challenged divine authority got destroyed themselves,” he added.
“Just as God is truth and eternal, Sanatan Dharma, too, is the truth and is eternal,” Adityanath maintained. “We should always adopt that truth and permanence and move forward with a positive approach.”
