The international cricket council has announced the ICC ODI WORLD CUP ,2023 on Tuesday in an event of Mumbai. The tournament will be started from October 5 in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The biggest tournament match that has been commenced between India and Pakistan on October 15 in Ahmedabad too. The international cricket council has released the date of ICC ODI WORLD CUP 2023 before 100 days of the tournament but it was commenced one year before every world cup. The delay had been occurred for the letter from the Pakistani cricket board where it was clarified that India could not fix a date unilaterally as there should be approval of Pakistan’s cricket team participation which will be hosted in India.
The tournament will be played over 46days with the final match that will beheld on 19th October. Total 10 teams will participate in this tournament among them 8 participants had already been qualified through the cricket world cup super-league., CC said, “Each team plays the other nine in a round robin format with the top four qualifying for the knockout stage and semi-finals. “The venues of the most celebrated tournament had happened in Ahmedabad, Dharamsala , Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata. Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram and Hyderabad will host the warm up matches from 29th September to 3rd October. India will be playing nine matches at the group stage. Pakistan will play its leagues in Kolkata, Bengaluru Chennai and Hyderabad.
MATCHES WILL BE LOOKED FOR:
Australia and South Africa will play a tournament on October 13 in Lucknow. In 2019 south Africa had defeated Australia.
The most awaited India vs Pakistan will be played on october 15th in the Narendra Modi stadium.
India will face New Zealand where they will try to take avenge for the defeat in 2019 semi-final .it had happened on October 22 in Dharamsala.
The most important match that has been reported by ICC will be the first semi-final which will be held on november15 in Mumbai and the second semi-final on November 16.For the final a reserved date on 19 th November has been finalized.
