Maruti Suzuki Is Investing Big!

The highly renowned carmaker announced all this at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024. Day-to-day activities at the new plant will start in the year 2029; the new plant will reach a yearly production capability of 1,000,000-units.

 

 

Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki will develop a fourth line of production, which will start its operation by the year 2027, at the Suzuki Motor Gujarat plant using an investment of Rs 3,200 crore to improve and increase electric vehicles’ production.

Upon completing the fourth line of production, the Suzuki Motor Gujarat plant facility’s yearly production capability will increase from 750,000-units to 1,000,000-units.

 

The Launching Of EVs

Combining the new plant in the state of Gujarat, Maruti Suzuki’s total yearly production capability will reach 2,000,000-units.

The popular carmaker has already made it public that it will make the first electric model, the eVX electric SUV, available on the market in the year 2025.

 

 

Suzuki Motor Gujarat is completely owned by Maruti Suzuki and reached the production milestone of 3-million-units in the month December 2023.

Maruti Suzuki’s board of directors approved the takeover of Suzuki Motor Gujarat from the previous owner, which is valued at Rs 12,841.1 crore.

The biggest carmaker currently owns two plants in the state of Haryana that are operational; the first one is in Manesar, in addition to, the second one is in Gurugram.

The yearly production capability is 800,000-units at the Manesar plant, along with 700,000-units at the Gurugram plant.

 

Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vision!

Maruti Suzuki’s third plant in Haryana is being built in Kharkhoda. It will commence its operations in the year 2025 with a yearly production capability of 250,000-units; Maruti is planning to increase it to 1,000,000-units eventually.

 

 

The highly recognised carmaker is planning to achieve a yearly production capability of roundabout 4,000,000-units in India by the year 2031 to meet the escalating demand for vehicles, reaching a record high in the nation.

In a regulatory filing, Maruti Suzuki stated that the brand-new plant in Kharkhoda, in addition to the fourth line of production at Suzuki Motor Gujarat, will assist the biggest carmaker in achieving the milestone of 4,000,000-units.
