EMRS Recruitment 2023 Apply Online for 4062 Teaching, Non Teaching Posts

The National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS), under the heading of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs), an autonomous organization established under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, invites online applications from Indian Citizens for direct recruitment to the posts of Principal, postgraduate teachers, Accountant, Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Lab Attendant.

The main objective of EMRSs is to provide quality education to students from Class VI to XII belonging to the ST category.

How can one apply, and what are the registration dates for the vacancies?

Interested candidates can apply online through the official website, www.emrs.tribal.gov.in, and registration can be done until July 31, 2023, up to 23:50 hours.

How many vacancies have been announced, and for which posts?

A total of 4062 vacancies are announced, viz., for the principal post: 303 vacancies; for the postgraduate teacher post: 2266 vacancies; for the accountant: 361 vacancies; for the junior secretariat assistant: 759 vacancies; and for the lab attendant: 373 vacancies are mentioned in the official notification.

What is the application fee?

As per our information, the candidates applying for the post of Principal have to pay Rs. 2000/-, for the post of postgraduate teachers, Rs. 1500/-, and for Non-teaching staff posts, Rs. 1000/-, as a part of their application fees. The fees can be paid online (net banking, debit, or credit card).

What are the eligibility criteria for the announced posts?

 

  1. Age
  • The candidates applying for the Principal posts should not exceed the age of 50 years; age relaxations for SC/SR/OBC and other categories are applicable under the government rules, up to 55 years for EMRS employees.
  • For postgraduate teachers posts, a candidate should not exceed the age of 40 years; age relaxations for SC/SR/OBC and other categories are applicable under the government rules, up to 55 years for EMRS employees.
  • For the PGT Computer Science post, a candidate should not exceed the age of 40 years; age relaxations for SC/SR/OBC and other categories are applicable under the government rules; and up to 55 years for EMRS employees.
  • For the accountant post, a candidate must not exceed 30 years of age. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories as applicable under the Government of India Rules Up to 55 years for EMRS employees.
  • For Junior Secretariat Assistant, a candidate’s age must not exceed 30 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories as applicable under the Government of India Rules Up to 55 years for EMRS employees.
  • For the lab attendant post, a candidate’s age must not exceed 30 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories as applicable under the Government of India Rules Up to 55 years for EMRS employees.

Qualification and experience

  • The candidates applying for the post of Principal must have a Master’s Degree from a recognized university or institute and a B.Ed. degree. A person having 12 years of combined experience as Vice Principal, PGT, or TGT with a minimum of 4 years as PGT and above will be considered. The desirable qualities for a candidate are a. experience working in a fully residential school; b. Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Regional language, and c. Working knowledge of computers.
  • For postgraduate teachers of different subjects, a candidate must have a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject; only a B.Ed. degree will be considered. (In the case of an integrated 4-year degree course, a B. Ed. is not required.)
  • For PGT (Computer Science) post, M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT) or MCA from a recognized university or institute M.E. Or M.Tech. (Computer Science/IT) from a recognized university or institute is required.
  • For the accountancy post, a degree in commerce from a recognized university or institute is required.
  • For the Junior Secretariat Assistant post, a Senior Secondary (Class XII) certificate from a recognized Board and a minimum speed of 35 words per minute in English typing or 30 words per minute in Hindi typing are required.
  • For Lab attendants, a 10th grade Pass with a certificate or diploma in Laboratory technique.OR 12th grade with a science stream from a recognized board or university is required.

What is the selection procedure?

Candidates will be shortlisted based on the EMRS Staff Selection Exam (ESSE-2023), which will be conducted in “OMR-Based (Pen-Paper)” mode and interview-multiple-choice questions.

  • For the principal post-exam (Objective Type): 130 marks and for the language Competency Test: 20 marks; for the Personality Test/Interview: 40 marks
  • For PGTS, the Accountant and Junior Secretariat Assistant exams will consist of 130 marks, out of which the candidate applying for Junior Secretariat Assistant on the clarifying written test has to give a typewriting test. For Lab attendants, the exam will be 120 marks.
  • One (1) mark shall be awarded for every correct answer, and 0.25 shall be deducted for every incorrect answer. Unanswered questions will not receive any marks.

What is the salary scale for the different announced posts?

The salary varies from post to post. The candidates, after selection for different posts, will be paid a salary as follows:

  • For the Principal post, Pay Level 12 (Rs. 78800-209200/-)
  • For postgraduate teachers, pay level 8 (Rs. 47600–151100/-)
  • For Accountant post-Level 6 (Rs. 35400-112400/-)
  • For the Junior Secretariat Assistant post, Level 2 (Rs. 19900-63200),
  • For Lab Attendant Post-Level 1 (Rs. 18000-56900/-)

 

How one can apply for the post?

The EMRS Online Registration will be made through the National Testing Agency (NTA) Recruitment Portal (examination services.nic.in) or the EMRS official website (emrs.tribal.gov.in).
Step 1: Registration for the Online Application Form: The candidate should enter personal details, Generate an application number, and Create a password.
Step 2: Complete the Application Form. The candidate can log in with the system-generated Application Number and password. Upload a scanned copy of a recent photograph, signature, etc.
Step 3: Pay the exam fee using Net Banking, a debit card, or a credit card.
The last date for submission of online applications is July 31, 2023 (Monday) up to 23:50 Hours.
