Following midnight, a large group violated into Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, damaging the medical facilities.

Kolkata: When the junior doctors’ ongoing demonstrate against the August 9 rape and murder of a post-graduate trainee doctor, that the Central Bureau of Investigation began looking into earlier in the day on court orders, a significant number of unidentified men fell into Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital protest at around 12.40 am on Thursday and destroyed hospital property at could, corresponding to police and the agitators.

Even pharmaceuticals were destroyed in the emergency ward, that was targeted by the attackers. The gathering apparently came from many different places and the police utilized baton accusations and tear gas shells to disperse them out at phases. As reported by officials, a few police vehicles were destroyed.

A police officer posted close to noted, “Several police personnel guarding the agitation site and the hospital were injured by brickbats,” on the condition of anonymity.

KOLKATA POLICE ACTION ON THE ATTACKS TOOK PLACE ON THE 14TH NIGHT AT RG KAR HOSPITAL PROTEST

The vandalism right away had an effect on the evening marches toward women’s safety in the state and the murder of the 31-year-old junior doctor who had been organized by people in Kolkata along with other regions all through West Bengal. Gheraoing the Jadavpur police station, students and citizens took part in an agitation outside Jadavpur University, that is located across 10 km away from RG Kar Hospital Protest place.

At around 1.20 in the early hours, Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal dashed to RG Kar Hospital Protest. They called upon additional forces also.

“We demanded the police to get involved when we noticed the troublemakers collecting outside the hospital early in move forward of the attack, but they did nothing.” Aniket Maity, a junior doctor, told the media that right away as the policeman’s rampage started, they dashed inside the hospital’s bases to find safety.

The police commissioner right away put the blame for the attack on social media and likely news websites, arguing the attack had been triggered by malicious campaigns in the murder of the 31-year-old doctor.

“False allegations and disinformation were being propagated on social media all that time. The attack started with this. As police commissioner, let me indicate clearly that no effort was made, at any level, to mistreat anyone. We swiftly took the main suspect into prison. We said that investigations were current and that there could be more. Still, Goyal advised the media at the spot of RG Kar hospital protest that there was a constant effort to derail the police.

The main suspect in the crime, which happened on August 9 from 3 to 5 in the early hours at the hospital’s chest department’s third-floor seminar hall, was Sanjay Roy (31), a civic volunteer for the Kolkata Police. On August 10, Roy got into prison. A CBI team in Delhi visited the crime scene hours before Thursday night’s attack and discussed with some hospital staff people.

“My men were getting evidence day and night.” I’m severely wounded by what took place. There is a regulation in effect if the CBI will show that we have destroyed any evidence. We are a responsible strength. “I am sure that we didn’t protect anyone,” Goyal stated.

Fortunately, there have been social media campaigns arguing various types of bone injuries (inflicted on the victim) that aren’t verified by studies. Further, there are asserts that a Mahapatra with links to politics is to blame for the crime. What is this? He is one of the trainees; nevertheless, he is from an obscure city. His father educates in a school. I am enraged for what took place. We have to wait for scientific corroborative evidence, which takes time, as the accused (Roy) continues to make states that the evidence does not support, Goyal said.
