The first part of the action franchise ‘Salaar’, starring Prabhas, is all set to have a clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ this Christmas. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 22. Earlier, Prabhas’ much-awaited film was postponed beyond its announced release date of September 28. Producers ‘Hombale Films’ officially announced that the postponement of the action film was due to “force majeure circumstances”.

Marking the first collaboration between ‘KGF’ director Prashanth Neel and ‘Baahubali’ star Prabhas, it was earlier announced that the film will hit theaters on September 28. However, ‘Hombale Films’, earlier this month, announced that the movie will not be hitting the big screen on the given date. In a statement, they noted that the release delay was only because they wanted to “meet high standards” and deliver an “exceptional cinematic experience”.

The statement read: “We appreciate your continued support for #Salaar. After consideration, we had to delay the initial release from September 28 due to unforeseen circumstances. “Soon,” ‘Hombale Films’ noted while sharing a poster announcing the film’s release date. Besides Prabhas, ‘Salaar’ also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu and Sriya Reddy in the lead roles. ‘Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire’ will be presented in multiple languages ​​including Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi.
