The domestic car manufacturer also claims that the electric car has  traveled more than 900 million kilometers so far. In addition, Nexon EV owners have made journeys of up to 1,500 kilometers at a time. According to additional information from Tata Motors, Nexon EV users make long-distance and foreign trips on average 100-400 kilometers, or a total of about 6.3 million kilometers per month. Firstly, the electric car is available in Prime, Max and Dark variants with prices starting from Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tata Nexon EV has already achieved the sales milestone with in less than four years of its launch. Here are the full details of Tata Nexon EV:

Battery and Motor Powertrain of Tata Nexon EV:

The Nexon EV Prime has a 30.2 kWh battery with  an ARAI-certified range of 312 km. However, the Max has a larger 40.5 kWh battery with a range of 453 km (MIDC). Both versions get an IP67 rating for their batteries and both come with either a 3.3kW or  7.2kW charger. The EV Prime can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 60 minutes with a DC fast charger, and the EV Max can charge from 0 to 80 percent in 56 minutes with a 50 kW DC fast charger. The EV Prime and EV Max use a permanent magnet synchronous motor and develop 129 hp. and 245 Nm of torque in the Prime, while 143 hp and 250 Nm in the Max version. That allows the EV Prime to do 0-100 km/h in 9.9 seconds (claimed), and the EV Max can do the same sprint in a claimed nine seconds.

Impressive Features Of Tata Nexon Ev:

Tata Motors recently added its new 10.25-inch touchscreen to the XZ Lux  and  EV Max Dark variants. This new infotainment system includes features such as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, an updated rear camera and an integrated voice assistant. The remaining versions of the two electric cars get an older 7-inch touchscreen and both infotainment systems are connected to an 8-speaker system. The ICE-powered Nexon will be updated in August this year and  is also expected to get a new infotainment system. The Nexon EV is also expected to receive similar updates and is expected to follow the ICE version soon. The Nexon EV Prime seats five passengers.

Its  features include semi-digital instrument cluster with  7-inch TFT screen, connected car technology 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic AC system, automatic headlights and a single glass sunroof. Other offerings include cruise control, multi-level regenerative braking and smartwatch connectivity. On the safety front, it has dual front airbags, cornering stability control, ABS with EBD, tire pressure monitoring system and #40;TPMSand#41; and ISOFIX child seat attachments.

Mind-blowing Performance of Tata Nexon EV:

Tata Nexon EV It is basically based on a different EV architecture and produces 129 hp/245 Nm. Even at 80-100 km/h you are in the eco zone of the chart and feel as relaxed at 100 km/h as  at 30 km/h. The Nexon EV is everything we hoped it would be. Smooth and quiet? Sure, but what really stands out is its usability. The relationship between accelerator applied and speed achieved is very direct. In particular, the torque, although immediate, is very easy to control, even for someone who has never driven an electric car before. Pair it with a single-speed automatic transmission and your driving experience is as smooth as can be. Interestingly, the gear selector is  similar to the one used to select the petrol/diesel Nexon’s drive modes.

Cruising or overtaking, whether in town or on the highway, it is very easy. The behavior is simply intuitive as long as you use the standard D (drive). Slip it into Sport mode and then it can be a bit of a handful. Here the throttle response is more responsive and you may find yourself hitting the brakes faster as the car accelerates more impatiently. Even on the road, this mode is not something you need, just something  you can use for a more exciting experience. Of course we used it in our 0-100 km/h tests! Tata reaches 0-100 km/h in 9.9 seconds. With the VBOX connected, we actually managed a recorded time of 9.48 seconds. And it can fit two people and luggage. While we can’t officially claim this as the latest 0-100km/h time tested, it’s certainly something to be optimistic about. That said, here’s the catch. The maximum speed is limited to 120 km/h to save battery life and driving distance. Although it can easily reach a speed of 120 km/h, it cannot exceed that. However, you can sit at a speed of 120 km/h all day, because the Nexon EV does not feel strained at such a speed.

Charging details of Tata Nexon EV:

DC is the fast charging, where it could takes 1 hour to charge the battery from 0-80 percent. Our test showed us that getting the battery to zero is not so easy task, so  realistically there is 30-40 minutes of battery life left at the end

AC is a home charging where there is a 3.3 kW of charger, which it can takes 8 hours to do the charging from 20  to 100 percent.

Super Interior design of Tata Nexon EV:

In the interior, Tata has  again made small changes that give the cabin a new flavor. The  plastic dashboard is now finished in black. In contrast to the blue highlights of the Nexon EV, it makes the cabin look better than before. We also noticed that the materials used feel a bit better to the touch, although the XUV300 and Venu are still  slightly better in terms of finish quality. Most of the cabin remains unchanged, which means you still get features like automatic AC, rear air vents, push-button start and a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. New goodies like automatic headlights, wipers and white leather upholstery were added. Well, the Nexon EV also has a sunroof. In addition, both the steering wheel and instrument cluster are now shared with the Tata Altroz. So the driver’s information system is now a 7-inch screen. Otherwise, all information related to electric power transmission range, charge, power flow animation and power flow histogram is displayed here.

Is that all? No. The Nexon EV also gets connected car technology. With the ZConnect app, you can now view your car’s health information, control the climate control, control the door locks, set up a geofence or even remotely monitor/immobilize your Nexonia. Besides the technology, the experience of Nexon is well known. It’s still a very comfortable cabin for four adults, and the generously padded seats will delight your lazy side. No, the battery has not raised the  entry point of the cab, so entry is still as easy as before. Yes,  the trunk space of up to 350 liters remains unchanged, so  practicality and usability do not suffer compared to the well-known Nexons.

Unique Exterior design of Tata Nexon EV:

It’s amazing how Tata has managed to give the Nexon a brand new personality for 2020, even though the cosmetic tweaks made are minor. Oh yes, the Nexon is a more mature and good-looking SUV. In fact, we could say that it is the most beautiful SUV under 4 meters today! The flatter hood and sharper design of the halogen projector headlights make it look like a smaller Range Rover Evoque. The side profile reveals a more classic set of 16-inch alloy wheels that look particularly impressive on the move.

What about the back? Well, it certainly looks more unique, but to  appreciate the Spider-Man eye-like treatment the new LED taillights get, you’ll have to see the Nexon EV at night. Interestingly, even with all these changes, the dimensions are not affected by  a millimeter. However,  the Nexon EV has a slight 4mm drop in ground clearance (thanks to the battery integrated into the floor). However, 205mm of ground clearance is hardly low. But can you tell the Nexon EV apart from the regular Nexon? Not by design. However, the fog lights, front grilles, shoulder line and even the rear get a healthy dose of blue highlights that make the EV stand out more. Of course, in addition to the EV badges around the back, there is also a Ziptron badge to show off the EV technology on this SUV.

How Family will be safe with Tata Nexon EV:

There is a Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX are  standard on the Nexon EV. It also has traction and descent assist and  features like cornering lights, parking sensors and a rear camera. While the regular Nexon receives a 5-star safety rating  from Global NCAP, the Nexon EV receives  structural reinforcements  and undergoes a crash test independent of the regular Nexon. Tata is expecting another 5-star result here too.
