It seems that the ‘Queen’ of the Hindi movie industry has decided to leave no stone unturned to shock and surprise her fans, either with her all-time favorite controversies or with certain announcements regarding her new projects that turn out to be no less shocking than her controversies themselves. Enjoying her first release of ‘Tejas’ in this year, which finally hit the movie theatres yesterday on Friday, the 27th of October, in a sudden turn of events, the actress has made an exciting announcement regarding the upcoming movies where she would be featuring herself again. In an interview with an online mass media portal, the actress has surprisingly confirmed that presently she would be busying herself with the shooting of the third sequel of the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ drama series, something that has left her fans and the media alike stunned and excited about her once again.

‘Tanu’ Returns to ‘Saddi Galli’ Once More

With her beautiful portrayal of the quirky and feisty character of ‘Tanu’ in the first part of the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ series in the year 2011, Kangana Ranaut had gained immense fame and popularity for the character, with some people even equating her quirky attitude to that of the character that she had portrayed in the movie. Owing to the popularity and fame that the movie garnered, the director Anand Rai decided  to opt for a second part once more that was titled ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ in the year 2015. The second part too was successful in getting likes and appreciation from fans and critics alike. However, things started to go south for the actress as she got involved in a major tiff with the director Anand Rai himself, accusing him of sexually abusing and assaulting her, in front of the media. Almost at the same time, a series of female actors also brought the same allegation of sexual abuses and assaults against the director that successfully served the purpose of dampening his career and reputation.

However, according to reports, the director and the actress had patched up after that with Kangana Ranaut even praising the artistic skills of the director, terming him to be one of the best directors she had ever worked with and even expressed her desire to star in his films once again if she is given the opportunity. In an interview with an online news portal by the name of IMDB, when the actress was questioned about her future plans regarding her upcoming movies, Kangana Ranaut was prompt enough to reply that she is planning to concentrate on the third part of her ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ series alongside a number of several other projects such as ‘Noti Binodini’ and another thriller movie, where she would be collaborating with the South Indian superstar Vijay Sethupathi. In the interview, she said that she is currently planning to do ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ third installment alongside a web series with the Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi. She also has another film by the name of ‘Noti Binodini’ right in her schedule. However, this revelation of doing the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ third installment had been quite surprising for the fans of the actress as every other possibility of a third part happening was totally discarded by the director and the male lead Ranganathan Madhavan initially. In an interview with an online mass media portal in the year 2015, the director Anand L. Rai had categorically declined any such possibility of a third part of the drama series taking place. He said that he will not make a third part just because it has become a brand or because it has the potentiality to work. He asked the franchise not to be treated like a series at this moment. Right now, he says that there is no option for a third part. Even the male lead, Ranganathan Madhavan, who perfectly executed the character of the love shy yet romantically smitten character of ‘Manu’, had said that he was not up for any sequel to be released of such a comic masterpiece in an interview with the YouTuber Jaby Koey. When questioned about the release of any sequel to the initial two parts of such a lovely movie, he denied saying that that was not possible at all. He said that it was difficult to come up with some original stuff with expectations of a film. He also felt that he was done with the making of the series of the same movie and said that he does not have plans to go back to being Manu anymore. 

However, putting an end to every kind of speculation against the release of a third part to the classic comedy masterpiece, it is no wonder that this time too, the ‘Tanu’ of the Hindi movie industry is going to maintain her incomparable position as the real ‘Queen’ of Bollywood. Thus, as the fans of the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ series, it is no wonder that we are once again waiting with enthusiasm and excitement as to how things would be unfolding between ‘Tanu’ and ‘Manu’, now that ‘Tanu’ plans to return to our ‘Saddi Galli’ once more.
