PM Modi says Opposition parties are doing negative politics; Kharge hits back

by | Aug 7, 2023 | INDIAN POLITICS | 0 comments

In the previous ten years, according to the Congress president, Prime Minister Modi has only brought our nation inflation, unemployment, economic inequity, poverty, unsafe conditions for women, Dalit oppression, and social injustice.

New Delhi: Mallikarjun Kharge, the president of the Congress, responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “quit India” jab at the opposition on Sunday, saying it is “our victory” that people are now recalling the “Quit India Movement” after being unaware of it for 75 years.

Hours before Mr Kharge’s criticism of Prime Minister Modi, the latter accused the opposition of engaging in “negative politics” and claimed that the whole nation is now in favour of corruption, dynasty, and appeasement as reasons to “Quit India” while delivering a speech at a ceremony marking the cornerstone for the renovation of 508 railway stations.

PM Modi was retaliated against by Mr Kharge, who states, You have solely engaged in contentious politics during the past ten years. You are currently speaking ill of India as well. ” Over the past three months, you have not been able to stop the bloodshed in Manipur. Communities have been pushed against one another by your divisive policies, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a civil war. So far, more than 150 individuals have died, according to Mr Kharge.

The head of the Congress claimed that Haryana’s events are being watched by the entire nation

“Your government and your ‘Sangh Parivar’ people are forcing a brother to fight his brother where there haven’t been riots for decades. No matter what faith they practise, radical criminals are enemies of society, according to Mr Kharge.

In the previous ten years, according to the Congress president, Prime Minister Modi has only brought our nation inflation, unemployment, economic inequity, poverty, unsafe conditions for women, Dalit oppression, and social injustice.

“All of this must end. Your government seems unable to make it happen. Public dissatisfaction is present. The Prime Minister creates a fresh inaugural schedule for himself every day rather than resolving the issues. He engages in politics during official occasions, including assaulting the opposition,” outlined Mr Kharge.

Your political forefathers pitted Indians against Indians, supported British rule, served as informers for them, and strongly opposed the Quit India movement. Had a suspect role in the conspiracy to assassinate Gandhi. Opposed the tricolour. They did not hoist it until after 52 years of independence. Sardar Patel had to warn them about boycotting the tricolour,” Mr Kharge said.

He added that “this is our victory” and that they are now remembering the Quit India Movement after it had been forgotten for 75 years.

“Bharat judega, India jeetega,” remarked Mr Kharge. Last month, Kharge revealed the name of the opposition coalition—the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA)—at a gathering of opposition parties in Bengaluru.

PM Modi claimed on Sunday morning that a portion of the opposition is motivated by the idea of neither working nor allowing others to work after using video conference to lay the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the railway stations.

“Unfortunately, there is a faction of the opposition in our nation that, even now, won’t take any action and won’t let others take any action either. They are constrained by this mindset, he continued.

The Prime Minister referred to August 9 as the anniversary of the Quit India Movement and said it was a momentous day that gave the Indian Independence Movement new vigour. He claimed that today, for every wrong, corruption, dynasty, and appeasement, the entire nation is yelling, “Quit India.”

“Inspired by the Quit India Movement, the entire country is now roaring Quit India for every evil, saying ‘corruption, quit India’, ‘dynasty, quit India’, and appeasement, quit India’,” PM Modi said.
