Motorola Edge 40 is a premium Android smartphone that was released in January 2023. It has a 6.55-inch OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Edge 40 also has a triple-lens rear camera system with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is 32 MP. The Motorola Edge 40 runs Android 13 and is powered by a 4400mAh battery. It supports 30W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The phone is available in three colours: Eclipse Black, Nebula Green and Viva Magenta. The Motorola Edge 40 is a versatile smartphone that offers a good balance between performance, features and price. It has a fast processor, a sharp screen and a versatile camera system. The phone is also waterproof and has a long-lasting battery.

Display Comparision

These scores are very similar, so both phones offer excellent performance.   In terms of gaming, both phones can handle demanding games like PUBG Mobile and Genshin Impact at high graphics settings. However, the Realme 11 Pro Plus may have a slight advantage in terms of gaming performance due to its slightly higher clock frequency.

Software Comparison

Both the Realme 11 Pro Plus and the Motorola Edge 40 run on Android 13. However, the Realme 11 Pro Plus has Realme UI 4.0 on top, while the Motorola Edge 40 has MyUX on top.   Realme UI 4.0 is a relatively new skin that offers a lot of customization options. However, the Motorola Edge 40 also supports 68W TurboPower fast charging, which can charge the phone from 0-50% in just 15 minutes.  As for actual battery life, the Motorola Edge 40 lasts a full day on a single charge, even with moderate to heavy use. However, if you are a battery user, you may find that the battery life does not last as long as the Realme 11 Pro Plus.

Realme 11 Pro and Motorola Edge 40 are the most popular mid-range smartphones on the market. The high-end models of both phones are also priced similarly, with the Realme 11 Pro Plus 12GB 256GB model priced at ₹ 29,999 and the Motorola Edge 40 8GB 256GB model at the same price.
