Kajol and Kriti Sanon, two well-known Bollywood actresses, will be seen again playing the lead in a new mystery thriller on Netflix called ‘Do Patti’. Earlier, eight years ago, they worked together in the movie ‘Dilwale’ and are now reuniting for the upcoming suspense movie ‘Do Patti’. The film will be produced by writer Kanika Dhillon and actress Kriti Sanon under the production house titled “Blue Butterfly Films”.

OTT (over-the-top) streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. are considered a nice income source or option for mega-film stars. Most of the actors get a 15-20% premium over the remuneration they usually receive for film projects. Yeah! Though actors do not own any IP, it’s compensated in some way by paying extra.

Furthermore, higher pay is expected based on the number of episodes (minimum 8–10 episodes) or programming hours. A film’s time is generally two and a half hours, whereas series and other web projects are mostly dependent on the star cast. The storyline is framed in such a way that it gives a stretch to at least six episodes of a minimum of 30–50 minutes. Hence, in budget distribution, nearly 70–80% is allotted to lead actors and 20–25% for filmmaking. Thus, big Bollywood names—page 3 celebs—are nowadays more inclined towards signing small screen projects.

In Do Patti’, it is described as a thrilling mystery-suspense roller coaster ride set in the hills of northern India. Though the director has not spread the beans related to Do Patti yet, the glimpse of the film feels like a novelty offering to viewers.
